Reading Before Leaving
Reading Before Leaving is a project by the Library and the Officers' Spouses Club.. Deploying members can scedule an appointment before leaving to be videotaped while reading a children's story for their child/children to view while they are away. Cost is free and participants may choose to produce a mini-DVD and/or an audio CD, as well as assistance in posting the video on YouTube.

Computer Lab
Take advantage of the computer lab at the Library. There’s also a family corner with a computer for parents and children to work on side by side.
Educational Support
The library offers a wide variety of educational resources such as CLEP and DANTES study materials and reference books. Online databases with access to thousands of full-text professional journals are also offered.
Mission Support
The library offers support to more than 100 offices at Barksdale through the Office Collection Program. This enables offices to order mission essential materials such as books, CD's and online service subscriptions through the library.
Computer & Online Programs
Monthly computer orientation classes are held with a variety of topics designed to help new users become more familiar with such things as internet capabilities and military resources. E-books offer users over 6,000 titles which can be accessed (as well as additional military resources) at http://library.barksdale.accqolnet.org.
