Wood Craft Shop
Our fully equipped Wood Craft Shop is available to the novice and the experienced woodworker. Tools are available for your use at a cost of $5.50 per hour. A large variety of hardwoods are available for purchase at considerable savings including pine, oak, cherry, walnut, maple and ash. Our skilled craftsmen can assist you with your project or take special orders and custom build many items for you including flag boxes, recognition boards and small furniture items.

Wood Shop classes provide an opportunity for students to learn a life long skill, and gain certification to use the facility and equipment.  Cost of class is just $75 and includes supplies.  Students will complete 8 hours of instruction and upon completion will have a two shelf bookcase that they built to take home.

Order your awards through the Arts and Crafts Center in bulk and get amazing deals. The Arts and Crafts Center is a one stop center for all your awards and gifts needs. The Staff will custom engrave names, units or anything you like. A fully functional robust wood shop will put together your awards in wood.The Center has so many pre-manufactured awards and can order anything you like. The awards are limited by your imagination. Avoid the hassle of last minute purchases or traveling off base. Using your units GPC Card can make an awards program painless and truly rewarding. Below are just three examples of deals offered. Woodcraft Classes
Classes are offered from 5-7pm to teach the proper use of equipment and basic woodworking skills. During this 4 day course, you will build a piece of furniture that is yours to keep. The cost is $75 and includes all materials. Pre-payment is required and may be paid at the Arts & Crafts Center. Space is limited so make your reservation today!

Recognition Boards
Unique recognition boards can be custom tailored depending on the number of photos you need to display. The wood frames can be made of pine, maple or oak with the stain or paint of your choice and a glossy polyurethane finish. The interior is made of ceramic tile with your squadron logo sublimated on the tile. This tile will outlast any photograph, will not stain or fade, and is eye appealing. Contact the wood hobby shop at 456-3409 to get your order started and proudly display your award winners.
