INTRO TO BARKSDALE ARCHERY
Are you interested in Archery? Maybe interested in Outdoor Recreations 3D Archery Tournaments but not sure or serious enough to compete? Come out to the Archery Range on Saturday March 15th 10am & 12pm to check it out.

 


Crash course on the basics and safety before you go out on the course to give it a try. Bring the kids (10 and older) in your family we will have some basic recurve bows for you to use.

 

Cost is $5 per person. Register by Thursday, March 13th. You may register at Equipment Rental. This event is funded in part by the RecOn Initiative.

 Troops to Teachers, 5 March, 1000 - This workshop is for active duty and DoD civilians interested in a second career in education.  It is facilitated by the LA Troops to Teachers Director.   Participants will gain an understanding of the Troops to Teachers program to include program function, eligibility and application information. 

 

 

 

Healthy Relationships, 11 March, 1700 - This workshop includes a partner personality type indicator assessment (True Colors) and a basic overview of the different communication styles to assess how your personality style affects communication.    *2 BW military members may receive a one-day pass if they are newly married (three years or less) or married returning from a deployment of six months or more if they attend with their spouse.*

Education Transition, 19 & 20 March, 0800 - Service members pursuing college education will receive guidance to prepare for the college application process.  The education track addresses such topics as identifying one's educational goals, education funding, and researching and comparing institutions.

 

 

 

Time Management, 19 March, 1000 - This class provides tools to assist in better management of time and workloads.  The class offers a better understanding of time, knowledge of the three basic time management strategies, the importance of proper planning, awareness of individual time types, and common time wasters.

 

 

 

Bundles for Babies, 26 March, 0900 - This is an Air Force Aid sponsored program, facilitated by A&FRC staff and the New Parents Support Program.  It provides expectant parents with a wealth of information to enable them to be responsible parents.  The program addresses financial implications, car seat safety, and nurturing the child.  Attendance incentives include a bundle of baby items.
