Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Barksdale AFB Honor Guard is to provide military funeral honors for active duty members, retirees and veterans who served honorably in the Air Force. They also provide honors and ceremonies for distinguished persons, change of command ceremonies, civilian programs, parades and celebrations.

Honor Guardsman
The Honor Guard consists of four permanent members and several volunteers.  They preside over the funerals of Air Force members (both active and retired) in Louisiana and Southeast Texas. 

Becoming an Honor Guardsman
To become a member of the Honor Guard, you must first be recommended by your supervisor with your First Sergeant and Commander's approval. You then report to Honor Guard for your training.
